Manufacturer: Staffordshire potter
Here is a Staffordshire blue transfer platter in the Willow pattern. It is unmarked. By its characteristics, we can date it to the 1830 - 50 period.
It measures 14 by 11 inches. Though free of chips and cracks, it does have damage to the design and glaze in the form of 5 small circular areas as visible on the pictures of the face of the platter. Other than that, glaze is entirely shiny.
Given the damage, the price is right. |
