Circa: 1880 Manufacturer: W. E. Corn
Here is the base for a white ironstone sugar bowl measuring 6 inches tall by 6 inches wide. We don't have the lid.
It was made in the W. & E. Corn Factory, Burslem, and is so marked. Uplift shapes became popular in the 1880s and continued to the turn of the century.
It is in good shape with a little roughness on the lid ledge. |
