Here is a gorgeous and large white ironstone Staffordshire vegetable server. It was made in the pottery of Mayer and Elliot, c. 1864. Both the interior of the lid and bottom of the base bear the pottery's backstamp.
It measures 14 inches long by 8 inches tall - a giant of a tureen. We love the elaborate swirling pattern. This one is very elegant. The good news is that it is free of chips, cracks, stains, and restoration. |
