Circa: 1820 Manufacturer: Staffordshire poter
Here is an early mochaware bowl measuring 5 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches tall. It is an early utility piece with a wide blue band and 4 thin black bands. The body is made of creamware.
It has no chips or cracks. There are little flaws around the rim, not chips, as one might expect of a Staffordshire piece from the 1815 - 25 period. It's very charming. |
