Here is a small and elegant bi-color transfer plate,7 inches wide. It is done in purple in the center and black on the surround.

The design is entitled Fountain Scenery. It was made in the W. Adams and Sons pottery, c. 1800 - 1864. Condition is excellent - no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, or restoration.
The central scene, done in black, features a fountain beside a river.
The surround, done in purple has floral areas separated by diapering and scrolling. The rim is elaborately scalloped - beautiful!
The plate is free of all flaws with the exception of a very tiny nibble on the back side edge, mentioned for accuracy.
