The surround has pretty swags and scrolls with flors. Particularly nice is the dimensional bordering of dots and swags.
It is marked with the Swinnerton's backstamp with pattern name. This platter is attractively priced because it is not as old as most items I carry. For someone who like the Staffordshire look without the desire to pay for early wares, it is perfect.
Condition is excellent - no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, or restoration. Glaze is quite shiny, and there is no utensil scratching. |
