Manufacturer: Minton
This large and distinctive blue transferware plate measures 10 1/4 inches wide. The edge is embellished with a white gadrooned edge. The pattern is entitled Chinese Marine, an oriental design featuring a bridge with a high arch.
Chinese Marine was produced by several potters, Minton being the first. It dates to 1822 - 36. Condition is excellent - no chips or cracks. Glaze is very shiny with almost no utensil marks. |
