The large purple transferware plate presented measures 10 1/4 inches wide. It depicts Hartford, Connecticut.
Job and John Jackson produced wares from 1831 to 1835, a short period for a pottery, yet they distinguished themselves during these short years as excellent potters. This is one of their American Scenery views.
It is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, hairlines, stains and restoration. |
