This great aesthetic brown transferware pattern is Devonshire. This is a vegetable tureen, 11 inches long by 5 1/2 inches high. The patterning has several scales of mini patterning, naturalistic scenes in frames and angular handles on both the lid and base. Patterning also decorates the interior.

It is in good condition with only one star bruise on the interior which does not permeate to the exterior.

It is marked with pattern name and pottery. This tureen dates to 1884.
