The Staffordshire sugarbowl or sucrier pretented dates to the mid 1800s. It is a footed and embossed sugar bowl with hand painted decorateions of red flowers and black / grey oak leaf designs. Note the pretty bud handles indicative of its early potting.
It measures 7 1/2 inches long by 6 inches tall. It is in great shape. The only flaws are two tiny dings to the lid underside which are shown in close-up. |
