Manufacturer: Staffordshire potter
Here is a set of nineteenth century porcelain Staffordshire white dishes with gold banding that would be perfect for serving tea or dessert. It includes two cake plates, eight plates, and eight cups and deep sipping saucers. All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or restoration. Some pieces show some wear to the gold banding, but most show little wear.
The two handled cake plates, each 10 inches wide across the handles. They are embossed and have gold embellishments on the embossing.
The eight plates are each 7 inches in diameter. The saucers are 5 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches tall. The elegant cups are 3 inches wide excluding the pretty looped handle by 2 3/4 inches tall.
These lovely pieces date to the mid 1800's. It is rare to find so many pieces that are still in great condition. |
