This early plate dates to the 1840 - 50 period.

It measures 9 1/4 inches wide and is ine excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, and restoration.

This is Virginia Pattern, a design of red blooms, blue leaves and bright green leaves with black stems. The edge is banded in red.
