Condition: Excellent antique condtition Manufacturer: J. Wedgwood, John Wedge Wood
Here is a small platter from the John Wedge Wood, also spelled Wedgwood, platter and dates to 1848. It measures 10 1/4 by 7 1/2 inches.
The pattern is Columbia. The romantic design has the typical elements of a placid river, mountains, framing elm, a classic urn and building, and scenic reserves on the surround. One element that we like a lot is the setting sun with solar rays at the top.
We had one chip professionally restored on the edge of this platter with perfect results. Additionally, we have included a close-up of a little ding on the back edge. There are no other chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, or restorations. |
