It was made in the William Adams and his sons William and Thomas. Thes family operated Greenfield Works at Tunstall from 1834 - 53, the years of production for the American Views Series.
Condition is excellent - no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, or restorations. The scene shows a log cabin in a mountainous setting. A young couple stands in the foreground. The surround has a white border with dimensional beading on an irregularly scalloped rim. The backstamp includes the American eagle cartouch and the impressed Adams mark. |
