This blue transferware plate measures 10 inches wide. The classic pattern is Washington Vase. The design features a prominent urn in the foreground in a classical garden setting. The surround has scenic reserves separated by linear patterning.
Condition is excellent - no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, or restorations. Glaze is shiny.
This heavy ironstone plate was made in the Podmore & Walker pottery which operated from 1834 to 1854. |
