The plate measures 9 1/2 inches wide and is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, and restorations. Glaze is entirely shiny. The pink color of this plate ranges from dark pink to very light pink.
The design features four figures on the banks of a river in a mountainous area. A castle appears in the background. The surround has a linear patterning with scenic areas and scrolling. The ironstone body of the plate is both bordered and paneled.
The backstamp gives the pattern and pottery names. It is also imprinted with the J. Heath mark. |
