Here is an octagonal Staffordshire platter with a blue feathered edge. It measures 15 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches. The edge shows hand-painted feathering. It is not incised.
There are two little flakes on the front blue edge as pictured and a large chip on the back side which does not show from the front. This is also shown in a picture. The platter is marked only with an imprinted mark which reads, "Best Goods."
Given the damage, this early platter is attractively priced.
