Manufacturer: Staffordshire
Presented is an early pearlware blue transfer platter with a classic floral and vine pattern. This design was made in many potteries with slight variations in stylized florals and curling vines.
We believe this one was made in the Benjamin Adams pottery and that the design was called Tendril. The platter is slightly scalloped and measures 17 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall. It is in fine condition with one short glaze rub on the rim and one small and shallow flake on the back of the rim which does not show from the front.
