Dramatic and large chop or grill plate measuring 10 1/2" in diameter. It has great applied cut sponge cobalt decoration around the rim, small cut sponged flowers in cobalt, and brushstroke rose and leaf decoration. The particular rose design is known as the Virginia pattern.
Note also the great band of cut sponge dark blue flowers on the surround with bullseyes in the center of each. Marked with the Maestrict, Holland, stamp. Very good condition. Foot rim shows a slight crack, only viewed when upended. |
